The East Africa Cup (EAC) is a youth football tournament for both boys and girls between and including the ages 12–16 held annually the last week of June in Moshi, Kilimanjaro-Tanzania.
The tournament is organized by five partner organizations namely; Norwegian Peoples Aid (NPA) Tanzania, KRIK Norway, CHRISC East Africa, Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA) Kenya and Elimu Michezo Na Mazoezi (EMIMA) Tanzania.
EAC is inspired by Norway cup which has had a similar event running for the last 30 years, only on a much larger scale of over 1500 teams from all around the world.
The tournament was first held in June 2004, it is gaining a lot of interest and is now very strong and growing. Since its inception in 2004, East Africa Cup has had participants and teams taking part in annual editions from the following countries: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Southern Sudan, Burundi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Norway.
CHRISC Rwanda first participated in 2009 and was represented by one U13 Boys team. In 2010 the organizatioin was represented by an U13 boys team, 4 referees, 3 peer leaders, 1 statician and 2 media personnel, in 2011 2 teams (U16 boys, U13 girls), 5 referees, 8 media personnel, 1 LL 1, 2 first aiders and 1 statician.
